A Weekend of Stillness, Movement & Sound
A winter retreat designed for rest, inward listening, and nervous system reset. This weekend is about slowing down, softening, and reconnecting with the body through yoga, sound, silence, and simple shared rituals. February invites stillness. We lean into that rather than resist it.
Held at The Empty Space in Old Chatham, New York, this retreat invites you to step out of the rush and into your own rhythm. Through daily yoga practices, guided breathwork, and immersive sound meditations, we’ll move between silence and shared experience, finding rest in both.
At the heart of the weekend are two thoughtfully-crafted workshops led by Alex Artymiak, whose teaching is rooted in the belief that the body is a gateway — not just to strength and flexibility, but to self-knowledge, compassion, and a deeper sense of presence. With over a decades of teaching experience, leading global retreats and teacher trainings, Alex brings anatomical precision, creative sequencing, and a profound respect for tradition into every class. His philosophy is simple yet powerful: every practice is an opportunity to observe, to refine, and to remember that the practice itself is the teacher.
Nourishment matters, too. Our vegan and dairy-free meals will be lovingly prepared to support both your body and your practice, offering vibrant, seasonal dishes that celebrate simplicity and flavor.
In between, there is time to wander, time to gather, and time to simply be — with yourself, with the land, and with a small circle of fellow travelers who are also pausing, softening, remembering.
Come as you are. Leave with what you need.
